Day 5 Wednesday Pongola

On the Road Again
(Written by Mandy)

Rising bright and early to hit the road to our next destination, Pongola, a one night
stay over before going into Swaziland.

When Norman and Dirk put their tent down this morning, they found a scorpion under their
tent.
We left Bonamanzi bright and early at 7h30, even though it was early it became a scorching hot day.
we arrived at Pongola and pitched tents, sweating in the heat, so we all went to call off in the pool.

After which we came back to our tents to chill and relax.  some of us went to do a bit of washing in
the camp laudromat.  Which resulted in me having a little verbal interaction with a local resident
in the caravan park who claimed that holiday makers were not allowed to make use
of the washing machines.  Which immediately got my blood boiling.  Because if
holiday makers were not allowed to use the machines, then why the hell did the office
sell me tickets to use the machines.  So off I marched to the office to voice my anger,
only to find this very women already there.   I demanded my money back.
the lady behind the counter very concerned asked what the problem is, to which
I replied I don't have a problem (pointing) I said, but this lady here seems to have a problem.
and I very angrily voiced my opinion, to which the lady behind the counter
immediately phoned the owner....LOL...
Not long after the owner came along to which I repeated the whole story and she said not
to worry, we must continue with our washing that this lady is always making trouble.
Well she never got to do her washing as we totally invaded the laundry after that, and we never saw
her again.

Well tonight was Ria and Rassies turn to prepare the meal and they made stew and stamp mielies,
after which Ria pre-pared stick bread for everyone.
For those who don't know.  You make a bread dough, roll it out into a long piece of dough
which you wrap around a thickish dell stick, then cook it on the fire, and when its ready you
pull the stick out and put butter and syrup inside...UUMMMM
it is Finger Licking good.

Tonights immunity necklace was a combination win for Ria and Rassie.

Fiona and Steve had decided it was so hot they were not going to pitch
their tent but sleep under the stars, but later that evening had to pitch
their tent as it bucketed down with rain
